Anderson Ranch Ceramics Program Director and acclaimed ceramist Doug Casebeer was recently featured on Aspen Plum TV to describe a large-scale installation he recently created for the Inga Art Museum's sculpture garden outside of Taipei. In the five minute interview by Plum TV Culture Editor Dennis Scholl, Doug describes the process of creating during a typhoon and the parallels to his upbringing in Kansas and the Wizard of Oz as he hurried to complete a large piece he later named "No Place Like Home." See: http://aspen.plumtv.com/videos/doug_casebeer to watch Doug describe the materials, process and symbology of his work. Note: there are still spaces available in our summer 2008 ceramics workshops.
