How do I price my work?

The following considerations will determine how this question is answered:

o       How much time did I spend creating the work?  Should I charge an hourly rate for creating my art work?

o       Can I sell it for that price?  Do I have clients who would pay the amount that I charge?

o       How does my pricing compare to similar art work from my colleagues?  Am I inline, under priced or overpriced?

o       What is my pricing history? 

o       Should I charge more for different venues? When I have a studio sale do I charge the same price that I would charge at a gallery?

o       Am I famous?  If I am can I charge whatever I feel?
